Monday, April 28: Solo & Ensemble Concert
The Solo & Ensemble Concert will be at 6:00.
Friday, May 2: Band Picnic
The annual band picnic will take place Friday, May 2, from 4:30 - 6:30. It will be at the pavilion at Decatur Baptist Church. More details, including how to order a meal, in the newsletter.
Tuesday, May 6: Spring Concert
The Spring Concert will be Tuesday, May 6, at 7:00, in the AHS auditorium.
Reception Before Concert
There will be a reception honoring Mr. Sloan's retirement before the concert. While everyone is welcome, this is not really an event that the students are expected to attend. It is more for alumni (including parents who are alumni) and band colleagues. If students do want to attend, we ask for an adult to accompany them.
May 12-15: New Member Camp
New Member Camp will be held May 12-15.
May 15: New Member Parent Meeting
There will be a meeting for the parents of new band members on Thursday, May 15, at 6:00. It will be in the AHS Auditorium.
May 15: Band Boosters Board
We have several vacancies on the board for next year! We need your help! We will have a short meeting right after the new member parents' meeting on May 15 (so at 6:30-6:45ish) with anyone interested in serving on the board, either as an officer or as a committee chair. See below for descriptions of the positions.
Tuesday, May 20: Graduation!
Congratulations to all of our graduating seniors! 2025-2026 A Band students will be performing for graduation.
