This summer, students entering 6th-12th grades are asked to complete summer assignments for math and language arts. These assignments were designed by Decatur City Schools’ teachers to help students refresh skills they learned last year. Students should complete assignments for the math and language arts classes they have registered to take for the 2018/2019 school year. Click the headline for more information.

AJHS Shirts are in!! Please stop by Austin High School, Room M-13 Tuesday through Thursday from 1:30-3:00 pm this week to pick yours up.

Semester Exam Information

Semester exams will be given 9th-11th graders on Monday, May 21, through Thursday, May 24. Two exams will be given each day according to the attached exam schedule. Exams begin at the regular school time. Students should be in their seats at that time. A student who does not have more than one exam on a particular day may go home after their exam is completed. Students will stay in the cafeteria to study if they have only one exam and do not have a way home until noon. Students will be able to pick up a grab & go sack lunch at noon. Buses will leave by 12:15. All students should leave campus by that time. All policies and dress code apply this week. If you have any questions, please contact the Main Office or the Guidance Office at 256-552-3060.

It is time to think and plan for class registration and scheduling for the 2018-2019 school year! Please use the QR code to access the Curriculum Guide and other information. A copy of the Curriculum Guide is also located under the Students menu on the website. Current freshmen and juniors will receive registration forms on March 1; current sophomores will receive registration forms on March 2. Completed, signed registration forms will be due to the Guidance Office on March 16. The Curriculum Fair will be on the evening of March 6; in the Media Center. More details are forthcoming!!!!

Student of the Month--School Spirit, Cooper Wood

Spotlight Title #1

STUDENT OF THE MONTH --  SCHOOL SPIRIT
 
The AHS Student of the Month for SCHOOL SPIRIT is Cooper Wood.  Runners-Up are Wesley Woodard (left) and  Mia Pensa (right).  Dr. Melissa Scott, Principal, is proud of the many ways that these students serve our community and our school.  Congratulations!  Sam's Sport's Grill provides the meal each month for all of these individuals and the Staff Member of the Month; 3M provides products for all of the individuals each month in addition to the other contributions they make to Austin High School.
