Developmental Students Open Business

The AHS developmental students have started their very own coffee cart business. They can only sell to teachers and staff during 1st block on Fridays. They will sell regular coffee, flavored coffee, hot chocolate, muffins and doughnuts. Kerri Beck, Developmental teacher, said that the students are very excited and will gain experience in serving the public and in counting money. Please continue for photo.

AP CSP- Black and White Image Encryptions

AHS AP CSP students explored methods for encoding digital images in binary which requires representing metadata such as width and height as well as pixel data. Students used the Pixelation widget on to encode black and white raster images. Please click to view student work.

AP CSP Students Create Color Images

AHS AP CSP students learned about the RGB color encoding scheme and used an updated version of the pixelation widget on to encode color images. Students had the option of working with binary or hexadecimal notation to facilitate the representation of larger groupings of binary digits. Who Says School Is Dull?

Austin High Business Education students worked very hard 1st semester to obtain Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications in Word and some certified in both Word and PowerPoint. Second semester we will be adding more certifications! Congratulations to these students!
